May 2021
Any of you who attended the “Have Your Say” webinar in March will have seen and heard Connor Podkul present on his project. Connor has a survey online that he would very much like members of the community to complete. The details and link to the survey are below and in Connor’s own words:
I am a student in the MSc Geospatial Data Analysis programme at University College Dublin working on my dissertation this summer. The goal is to understand the potential transition to solar energy within a specific community context, using Dundrum as a case study. The project will include a rooftop-suitability analysis for solar panels in Dundrum, along with measuring perceptions among members of the community towards solar energy technology.
During my presentation at the virtual Dundrum2030 Community Webinar event, I mentioned the circulation of a survey that will be used in the project. The survey is for any resident/business owner in the Dundrum community and includes basic questions that will be used to better understand the local context.
The survey is brief and should take around 10 minutes to complete. It is open to anyone that lives and/or works in the Dundrum community (including all five electoral divisions – Balally, Kilmacud, Sandyford, Sweetmount and Taney). The survey will be open until June 8th.
Please pass the survey link along to anyone in the community that would be interested in participating.

Thank you for taking the time to contribute and participate in the project. It is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Connor Podkul
